My January Garden

My elephant ears are pricked up.

I love Crocus.

I hope to see some flowers  this year.

Spring can't be far off.

I bought this plant at the Maynooth Car boot sale last year.I am happy to see it coming back this year.

I love seeing new green leaves.

My bulbs are all awake

Green leaves.

The Daffodils I planted ten years ago are pooping up in the lawn.

I had to cut back some grass and clear leaves off the path to the washing line.

It is lovely to see a rose in bloom at this time of year.

The hedge looks great with a touch of frost.

Day out in Dublin - Farmleigh in the Phoenix Park.

We visited Farmleigh on a sunny Sunday in November. I wanted to see the excellent Photo exhibition of the photographs of Father Browne.  The photographs are taken all around Ireland and Europe in the 20's and 30's they give a lovely view of Ireland at that time.
It was such a sunny day we took a stroll around the grounds, they are well worth a visit, I will visit in the spring and summer next year for sure. The boathouse is a lovely restaurant on a little lake. I had a tasty chicken pie.

The beautiful walled garden.

Sculpture at Farmleigh,A UXB or an alien craft perhaps.
